Lovebox 2018 Preview

Lovebox festival, originally founded by Groove Armada in 2002, is returning this summer – with one of this year’s most impressive festival lineups.

On the 13th and 14th of July, West London will host some of the world’s biggest hip-hop, dance, grime and RnB artists. Frank Ocean, Chase & Status and Snoop Dogg have previously headlined Lovebox.

London’s very own, Skepta will be headlining Lovebox this year as well as the award winning Childish Gambino, who will be bringing his unique funk, soul and RnB sounds to the festival.

Other artists include: hip-hop heavy-weights Wu-Tang Clan – celebrating the 25th anniversary of their legendary debut album, soul and RnB star SZA, Pharrell Williams’ N.E.R.D and Outkast’s Big Boi. bLAck pARty, who we interviewed recently, will also be performing.

A number of the dance scene’s biggest DJ’s will also descend upon Gunnersbury park this summer. Annie Mac, Bicep, Jackmaster, Shy FX, DJ Q, Preditah and Peggy Gou are among those playing Lovebox.

Lovebox will also continue to showcase new and emerging talent, this year the ‘Just Jam’ takeover is displaying a number of UK underground artists. Skrapz, Suspect and Big Zuu are all set to perform.

The trendsetting festival has relocated to Gunnersbury park in West London for this year’s edition. Previously the festival has been held at Victoria Park, where Lovebox had been situated since 2005. Lovebox was one of the first festivals to locate itself in inner-city London.
